Rise in number of new coronavirus infections and deaths

There have been 208 new registered Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria for a day. 1.55% of 13,358 tests returned positive result, according to the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. Most of the new infections were registered in the capital city - 45, followed by Stara Zagora - 19, Plovdiv - 16, Blagoevgrad – 12, and Montana - 11.

The current number of coronavirus patients stands at 15,134. There are 2,521 patients in hospital as 277 are in intensive care wards. 34 people with coronavirus infection died in the past day and 594 recovered.

More than 14,532 vaccines have been administered for a day. The total number of doses administered has already reached 1,478,774. A total of 634,291 Bulgarians have already completed the immunization cycle.
