More than 1.5 million Covid-19 vaccines administered in Bulgaria

178 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 15,149 tests performed. 1.7% of the tests have returned positive result, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. The highest number of new infections was reported in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia- 46, followed by Plovdiv distrtict-16, Stara Zagora district-14 and Blagoevgrad district-14. No new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Gabrovo and Lovech districts. All Bulgarian districts are now in the Covid-19 yellow zone, which means that there are less than 60 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people.

There are 14,583 active cases of Covid-19 at present. 2,467 people are being treated in hospital, 267 of them in intensive care units. 6 people have died and 723 have recovered in the past 24 hours. 

21, 771 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 1,500,534
