Coronavirus pandemic continues to subside

Bulgaria is steadily returning to the morbidity rates before the coronavirus wave of October 2020. 131 new infections have been registered for a day. This has been the lowest number for a working day for many months. 1.3% of 9,920 tests returned positive result, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal show. The highest number of new cases was registered in the city of Sofia and in Plovdiv - 20 each. The district of Varna follows with 11 cases. There have been no new registered cases in Vratsa, Pazardzhik, Targovishte and Haskovo.

The current number of registered coronavirus patients stands at 14,203.There are 2,407 patients in hospital. 256 are being treated in intensive care wards. 12 people with coronavirus infection died in the past day. The number of recoveries reached 499.

24,014 vaccines were administered in the past day. The total number of administered doses has already reached 1,524,541. Nearly 665,000 people have completed the immunization cycle.
