0.5% of daily coronavirus tests return positive result

A total of 41 new cases of coronavirus infections have been registered for a day after 8,400 tests, according to the data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. The share of positive samples is 0.5%. Most of the newly infected were in Sofia - 15, in Plovdiv - 7 and Burgas - 6.

There are a total of 1,746 patients in hospital as 207 are in intensive care wards. 37 recovered in the past day, two people passed away and the number of active cases now stands at 10,207. There have been no new cases in 17 districts.

3,857 doses of vaccines were administered yesterday and with them the total number has reached over 1.6 million. 747,471 people have already been vaccinated with both doses.
