People who will be on holiday in the country on July 11 and do not have a registered current address in the town where they are spending their vacation will not be able to vote, the Central Election Commission decided. The reason is that there is no procedure for facilitated registration at a temporary current address, explained CEC spokeswoman Rositsa Mateva.
The Civil Registration Act provides such an opportunity but the procedure is practically impossible, including submitting an online application for voting at one's current holiday address, Mateva explained.
The CEC reminds that the deadline for submitting an application for voting at the current address in the upcoming parliamentary elections expires on Saturday, June 26.
