Increase in number of tourists coming to Bulgaria from Germany, Czechia, Israel and Poland

“For the time being, the summer season is guaranteed, because Bulgaria is in the green zone,” said interim Minister of Tourism Prof. Stella Baltova for the BNR.

In her words more than 600,000 foreign tourists have been registered in the period up until 15 June. Interest is highest among the tourists from Romania and Czechia, but there is also an increase in the number of holidaymakers coming from Germany, Israel, and Ukraine. Tourists from Russia have also started arriving.

Minister Baltova pointed out that 3 million Leva (1.5 million euro) has been earmarked for assisting tour and mountain guides who were hit very hard by the corona-crisis.
