The Bulgarian Socialist Party has repeated its results from the April elections. Due to their active campaign, the Socialists expected more. This was announced at a briefing by BSP leader Kornelia Ninova. According to her, many of the older BSP supporters did not go to the polls because of the mandatory machine vote. According to her, there was no real political debate in the election campaign, and the new parliament will start work with very low legitimacy.
She said that if the BSP supports ITN, it will not be unconditional.
According to the exit polls, so far the BSP is again the third force in parliament. Ninova believes the 46th parliament should form a regular government, as a third election will throw the country into political chaos.
