President Rumen Radev: It is high time for the parties to take political responsibility

"This time the political parties have no right to make a mistake," President Rumen Radev said in Varna, advising their leaders to take political responsibility. According to him, Bulgarian society expects from the parties that have spoken out against the vicious government model to present concrete solutions in dialogue, not excuses.

As for the proposal for the early release of the chief prosecutor, Rumen Radev said Ivan Geshev's resignation would benefit civil society.
According to the president, the deafening silence about the rampant corruption at the highest points in the country, the iconic corruption scandals with billions of public funds spent in the dark and at the same time the slander of the inconvenient persons by the prosecution delegitimize the prosecution and the chief prosecutor.
"This is a natural result of everything that has happened so far," Radev said.
