Rise in the number of cases related to the Delta strain of the coronavirus has been predicted by the Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev in an interview with BNR.

"We are currently in the best situation, which, however, will not last for more than a week or two. Rise of infections would start. How fast and intense it would be depends on us. If we managed to achieve higher immunization coverage, it the rise of infections would be significantly lower and there would be fewer severe cases. If we failed, the picture we currently see in Spain, Greece and Cyprus will be repeated," Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev said.
