The specialized prosecutor’s office is pressing a 19th charge against fugitive businessman Vassil Bojkov, living in UAE. He is charged with heading a “crime group”.
According to the investigation, under Bojkov’s leadership the group created conditions for an escalation of tensions during the protests in the summer and autumn of 2020. The specialized prosecutor’s office has sent one more application to the United Arab Emirates, via the Justice Ministry, for the extradition of the businessman.
Vassil Bojkov also provided financing for a criminal act with the purpose of creating a potential danger to the life and health of the protesters on the territory of Atanas Burov Square in Sofia, the announcement by the prosecution reads.
