First UEFA Europa Conference League matches for Bulgarian teams

CSKA drew 0-0 versus Liepaja, Latvia in a match from the second qualification round for the UEFA Europa Conference League. After the match angry CSKA fans assaulted the team’s manager Stoycho Stoilov and the police had to intervene.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv won a 1-0 victory versus Slovachko on home ground, again in a match from the second round of the tournament. The goal came minutes before the end of the regular playing time.

Arda Kurdzhali lost to Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Israel by 0-2, again in a match from the Conference League second qualification round, a debut for the Bulgarian team at a European tournament.
