Foreigners find it difficult to name the first Bulgarian sea resort

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the first broadcasts of the Bulgarian National Radio abroad, their successor – "Radio Bulgaria" launched a quiz with questions about Bulgarian culture, history, tourism, sports and music. In its third issue we asked the online users of Radio Bulgaria which the first Bulgarian seaside resort was. From 5 destinations listed – Albena, Dunes, Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Sts. Constantine and Helena, the correct answer is the resort "Sts. Constantine and Helena”.

The summarized results of the ten language versions of the quiz showed that visitors coming from abroad find it difficult to determine which the first Bulgarian seaside resort was. Perhaps because of the popularity of certain resorts most of the votes went to Sunny Beach, Albena and Golden Sands. Most of the users of the German and Bulgarian web pages of Radio Bulgaria answered correctly. 53% of them gave the right answer. The survey also showed that the Spanish participants know the least about the first Bulgarian sea resort – only 6% of them, followed by the Greek (12%), Turkish (14%) and Albanian users (16%).

Thanking each participant in the quiz, we invite you to join us with an answer to our new question, which will be available on the website of "Radio Bulgaria" very soon.
