The intensification of the dialogue with the Republic of North Macedonia has been a priority since the first day of the caretaker government, the caretaker Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev told 24 Chassa daily. Our goal continues to be to reach agreements to be accepted by the next regular government of Bulgaria and to serve as a basis for continuing negotiations with Skopje.

It is unacceptable for Bulgaria to motivate or justify non-fulfillment of the bilateral agreement with North Macedonia of 2017 for friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation through acts such as the adopted resolution of the Macedonian Parliament of July 29, 2021.
Stoev is convinced that no third party intervention is needed to resolve the dispute between the two countries.
