Anti-corruption commission demands confiscation of illegal assets worth 18.3 million Leva

The Commission for Anti-Corruption and Illegal Assets Forfeiture is to submit a statement of claim for the confiscation of illegal assets for the benefit of the state, worth 18.3 million Leva.

These include 18 real estate properties and 8 motor vehicles. One of the claims is against Boris Bekyarov, charged by the prosecutor’s office with involvement in an organized crime group headed by fugitive businessman Vassil Bojkov, who resides in Dubai, on his part charged in this country and sanctioned under the Magnitsky Act.

Assets, worth over 12 million Leva, belonging to Boris Bekyarov, are up for confiscation, the second biggest amount claimed is 4.4 million Leva over illegal money lending.
