Percentage of newly infected with Covid-19 growing steadily

There were 845 new Covid-19 cases in the past day, according to the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 5.5% out of 15,164 tests returned positive result. 2,410 are in hospital and 197 are in intensive care. 8 people lost their lives in the past day and 140 recovered.

Most of the new cases are in Sofia city -160 and Sofia district - 20, followed by Burgas – 128; Plovdiv - 92, and Varna - 74.

3,710 people were vaccinated in the past day and with them the total number has reached 2,216,558. There are 1,111,648 people in Bulgaria who have completed the full vaccination cycle.
