Bulgaria is to donate 50,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Ukraine. This transpired after the meeting in Kiev between Bulgaria’s caretaker Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.

“The Bulgarian community in Ukraine – 200,000 in number – is a natural bridge of friendship between the two countries,” Minister Stoev said, and expressed gratitude for the fact that Bolhrad region has been preserved as an independent territorial unit with administrative centre Bolhrad. Svetlan Stoev added that he would be glad to receive an official response from Kiev soon regarding the opening of a consular office in Bolhrad to facilitate contact between our compatriots and Bulgaria.
