Number of newly infected and hospitalized coronavirus patients is growing

1,911 coronavirus cases were registered in the past day after 24,008 tests, according to data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 7.9% of the tests returned positive result, while in the previous day the level was 6.5%.

The highest number of newly infected is in Sofia - 293, followed by Burgas - 228 and Plovdiv - 209. There are 2,873 patients in hospital as 248 of them are in intensive care. 33 people passed away and 450 recovered. There are 23,814 active coronavirus cases.

Yesterday, 13,739 coronavirus vaccines were administered, bringing the total to 2,242,559. The number of people vaccinated with both doses has reached 1,128,101.
