Bulgaria’s National Assembly to vote at first reading amendments to 2021 state budget

Today, Bulgaria’s National Assembly is to vote at first reading amendments to the 2021 state budget, the National Health Insurance Fund and the State Social Security.

Pensions are expected to increase by an average of 12.5% as of October 1, as proposed by this country’s caretaker cabinet. “Stand up BG! We are Coming” coalition and the Bulgarian Socialist Party insist that pensions increase with a higher percentage. According to estimates, the National Health Insurance Fund is to receive an extra EUR 60 million due to the anticipated deterioration of the epidemiological situation in this country.
