Bulgaria reports 1,601 new cases of Covid-19 out of 22,480 tests performed

1,601 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 22,480 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 7.1% of the tests have returned positive result. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-296, followed by Plovdiv-163 and Burgas-150.

2,985 patients are being treated in hospital, 262 of them in intensive care units. 48 people have died and 574 have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Yesterday, 13,800 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 2,256,350. The number of fully vaccinated people has reached 1,136,584
