Bulgaria’s women’s volleyball team drops out of European Women’s Volleyball Championship after dramatic loss

The Bulgarian women’s national volleyball team failed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Volleyball Championship in Plovdiv. In a five-game match with a hotly contested finish, the Swedish team won the match versus the Bulgarian side by 25-12, 21-25, 22-25, 25-14,17-19.

The Bulgarian team failed to match its result of two years ago when it qualified among the top 8 teams. After the match coach, Ivan Petkov said that many of the girls had played with medical issues.
