"Hear Bulgaria!" is the motto with which the Bulgarian National Radio launches a series of initiatives aimed at promoting Bulgaria among foreigners who are interested in business, education or tourism opportunities here.
The first step is an informational audio programme featuring up-to-date news, stories and music from Bulgaria, which will again be available for listening in nine languages on the website of Radio Bulgaria, the foreign-language service of the Bulgarian National Radio. After a five-year intermission, the public media resumes its audio programmes specifically prepared for foreign listeners who are interested in Bulgaria or who already live in this country.
The new webcast "Bulgaria Today" accessible for listening entirely online brings listeners a summary of the most important news stories from and about Bulgaria, monitors the Covid situation in the country, presents interesting tourist destinations, introduces the culture and history of Bulgaria. In order to promote Bulgarian music among foreign audiences, each show ends with a specially selected "Song of the Day" featuring Bulgarian music artists.
The audio programmes can be accessed via any mobile device, in the respective language version of the BNR website, available at: www.bnr.bg.
The audio programme "Bulgaria Today" started during the summer season in English, German, Russian and Turkish:
In the coming autumn, news and stories from Bulgaria will be available in an online audio format also in Spanish, French, Greek, Serbian and Albanian.
