Renowned European cellists participate at Cellissimo festival in Sofia

The second edition of Cellissimo cello festival will take place between September 6 and 10, 2021. The programme of the festival includes master classes with Bulgarian and foreign participants. Moreover, every evening at 19.00, admission free concerts will take place at different stages – at the National Academy of Music, the National School of Music and Oborishte 5 Galery and Hall in Sofia.

Young cellists from Bulgaria will have the opportunity to meet with renowned cellists from around the world – Răzvan Suma (Romania), Denis Severin (Switzerland), Alexander Ramm (Russia) and Dragan Djordjević from Serbia will attend this this

“We have achieved a kind of a Balkan collaboration which makes me very happy” the forum’s Artistic Director Associate Professor Atanas Krastev said for the BNR. In his words, there are exceptional talents in Bulgaria and it is of great importance for them to receive the due support. “The cello festival creates an opportunity for young Bulgarian cellist to meet renowned professors around the world. Nothing can replace this personal contact”, said Atanas Krastev.
