Bulgaria reports 1,724 new cases of Covid-19 out of 21,167 tests performed

1,724 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 21,167 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 8.1% of the tests have returned positive result. The newly infected are 138 less as compared to the previous day, but the infection rate has increased by 0.6%.

There are 39,599 active cases of Covid-19, 307 less than the previous day. However, the number of Covid-19 hospitalizations increased to 4,627. 396 patients are in intensive care units. 1,964 people have been reported cured and 67 have died in the past 24 hours.

11,198 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past day, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 2,448,482.
