A few days after the start of the school year, it was reported that 35% of the teachers have completed their immunization against coronavirus and another 3% have received the first dose of the vaccine, the Minister of Education Prof. Nikolay Denkov has told BNT. In addition, 20% have recovered after Covid-19 infection.
"This means that we have a coverage of just over 50 percent of teachers," the minister said. According to him, compulsory vaccination in schools could be introduced only if society supported it. "Unfortunately, when someone in this country says that we should get vaccinated, there are people in parliament and in the Health Committee in the National Assembly, who say the opposite," Prof. Nikolay Denkov commented. According to him, our society has been confused because of false prophets.
