On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the first broadcasts of the Bulgarian National Radio abroad, "Radio Bulgaria" launched a quiz with questions from the spheres of Bulgarian culture, history, tourism, sports and music. Last time we asked the online users: When and where did Stefka Kostadinova set her world record in the high jump - 209 cm?
Participants had the opportunity to choose the correct answer from the following options: the European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1986, the Goodwill Games in Moscow in 1986, the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987, the 1988 Seoul Olympics, or the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
The correct answer to our quiz is: The World Athletics Championships in Rome 1987. We recall that the high jump world record of Stefka Kostadinova has not been broken yet. In 1997, she officially ended her career in competition.
The summarized results of the ten language versions of our poll have pleasantly surprised us. They show that most of our users from abroad do not find it difficult to determine where and when the Bulgarian set the world record, with the exception of English-speaking participants (32% of them gave the correct answer) and Russians - 24% correct answers.
It turns out that the users of Radio Bulgaria’s French page are best informed - 70% of them chose the correct answer, followed by 62% of the visitors speaking Serbian.
Thanking each participant in the quiz, we invite you to join us with an answer to our new question, which will be available on the website of "Radio Bulgaria" soon.
