8 universities in countries of the EU, among them the Technical University in Sofia are setting up a European University of Technology.
An agreement on this was signed by their rectors at a meeting in Limassol. The University will bring together almost 100,000 students from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Latvia, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain and Romania, who will be able to do part of their studies at the other universities. The aim is to promote research, innovation and improve contacts with industry.
