Banks expect low interest rates will remain unchanged despite inflation

Despite rising inflation, banks expect low interest rates to remain in the medium term, said Tsvetanka Mincheva, head of one of the largest banks in Bulgaria. According to her, the pressure of rising prices provokes people to look for alternative investments, as more and more often these are mutual funds, BNR reported.

Mincheva pointed out that banks are careful when granting loans, although the Covid crisis has shown resilience in the market.
