The unloading of the Vera Su ship which ran aground off the coast of the Yaylata nature reserve on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast on September 20, is expected to begin in the coming days, when weather forecasters predict an improvement in the weather, Transport Minister Hristo Alexiev announced.

Currently the sea state is rough. Despite the big waves, the vessel is not displaced, as it is well fortified with anchors and chains.

The Ministry of Transport assures that the dangerous cargo, carbamide, will not spill into the sea

The ship's crew has already been evacuated and the sailors have been quarantined in a hotel in Kavarna, as the captain and his assistant are held in custody with a permanent detention measure.
