Bulgaria reports 1,246 new cases of Covid-19 out of 10.423 tests performed

1,246 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 10,423 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. 11.95% of the tests have returned positive result.

The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-356, followed by Varna-129 and Burgas- 94 new cases. 5,489 patients are being treated in hospital, of them 469 in intensive care units. 89.66% of the new Covid-19 hospitalizations are among unvaccinated.

30 people have died and 643 have been reported cured in the past day. 93.33% of the Covid-19 deaths are among unvaccinated.

More than 1,360,000 people have completed their vaccination cycle.

Vidin district has the highest seven-day morbidity rate- 380.49 new cases per 100.000 people, followed by Pernik district- 358.73 cases per 100,000 people and Gabrovo district- 358.26 new cases per 100,000 people.
