Bulgaria's health minister says he feels helpless regarding low vaccination rate

Bulgaria's caretaker Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov is not considering introducing additional measures to accelerate the vaccination process in the country. Bulgaria is the last in Europe in terms of vaccination rate against Covid-19.

"Vaccination is a voluntary act. Excessive aggression in this direction can make the situation worse. There is no way to do that by force. The thesis that people are not informed is not true. There is no one who is not familiar with vaccines, even with the fake news about them," Katsarov told Nova TV.

He explained that in this situation, "the only weapon is to limit people-to-people contacts by imposing new measures." According to him, this will be the price that society will have to pay if the percentage of vaccination remains low.
