Due to the low levels of vaccination in the country and the increase in morbidity, hospitalizations and deaths with Covid-19, new restrictive measures need to be introduced. This was stated at an expert meeting on the epidemiological situation in the country by Deputy Minister of Health Alexander Zlatanov. Among the two alternatives considered - restriction and suspension of certain activities or use of green certificates without restriction of social and economic life, including access to public facilities, including in educational institutions.

After all the proposals are considered, the Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov will issue an order with the specific anti-epidemic measures, the Ministry of Health announced.
The order of the minister is expected to be issued tomorrow (Oct 19) or Wesnesday (Oct 20).
