Teachers who do not possess a Covid-19 Green Certificate can teach remotely, Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Education and Science Professor Nikolay Denkov said for bTV in connection with the public discussion regarding the introduction of new anti-epidemic measures at school.
"The proposal for a mandatory Covid-19 Green Certificate at school is the new element in the list of anti-epidemic measures proposed by the Ministry of Health and I believe that this measure must be supported in the current situation, as Bulgaria reached the peak of the fourth Covid-19 wave", Minister Denkov noted. In his view, this measure could lead to a temporary outflow of teachers. Students should shift to distance learning, if 20% of them are absent from school or 30% of the classes are under quarantine, said Prof. Nikolay Denkov. Later today, parents will protest in front of the Ministry of Health in central Sofia against the possible closure of schools.
