Price reduction for companies purchasing electricity on the free market

Photo: archive

As of 1 November, more than 250,000 small and medium-sized enterprises which buy electric energy on the free market will pay reduced prices.

These companies account for 40% of all users on the free market. They are supplied with electricity at supplier of last resort prices which is the most expensive method of supply. The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission adopted amendments to the methodology of price-setting by the so-called supplier of last resort as part of the measures aimed at curbing the high exchange prices for non-household users.

The changes will bring down the bills paid by companies by 15 Leva /7.67 euro/ to 30 Leva /15.34/ euro per MWh and will be valid for a period of 3 months.
