The decision of Bulgaria’s authorities to make pupils from the 1st to the 4th grade switch over to distance learning was a mistake, the Chairperson of the Trade Union of Bulgarian Teachers Yanka Takeva said for the BNR.

In her view, that error needs to be corrected. The trade union's branch council decided that students from 1st to 4th grade shoud return to school between November 8-10, said Yanka Takeva. According to most Bulgarian teachers, Bulgaria should follow the German model- students from 1st to 4th grade should be tested at home by their parents and then they should present the tests results at school.
