Bulgaria's Labour Inspectorate has received numerous signals from workers who are under pressure from their employers to get vaccinated. On this occasion, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Galab Donev stressed in an interview with BNR that people who are not immunized cannot be fired or the employer cannot oblige them to be vaccinated.

Minister Donev clarified that the order of the Minister of Health gives the right to choose and employees who do not have a certificate, but work in a place where it is required, can use paid or unpaid leave for up to three months without violating their insurance rights.
Galab Donev added that the measure 60:40 for maintaining employment will continue to be applied until the end of the year, and in case of introduction of lockdown no new social measures are envisaged.
