Health authorities in Bulgaria consider suspension of scheduled hospital admissions

"The picture in the country is homogeneous - the healthcare system is under pressure. In order to alleviate it, we are considering temporarily suspending the planned operations and admission at the national level," said Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov during a video conference with the directors of the regional health inspectorates in the country.

He recalled that at the moment the measure has been taken by separate medical institutions - to restructure other wards into Covid-structures and to provide additional human resources to serve patients with coronavirus.
