Passengers on Sofia subway can now travel with bank card instead of ticket

Passengers using the Sofia metro lines can now pay for their trip with a bank card regardless of its issuer, the Centre for Urban Mobility announced. From 1 September, this was only possible for land public transport.
The price of a single trip is BGN 1.60, and if you travel more than three times during the day, including in combination with land transport, the system takes from the bank account the price of a daily card of BGN 4. The only condition is to use the same bank card throughout the day.
