The district of Kardzhali remains least affected by the fourth wave of Covid-19. “This is due to the low morbidity rate and the fact that population density in this Bulgarian region is very low”, Dr. Todor Cherkezov, Director of the local hospital for multi-profile treatment “Atanas Dafovski”, said for the BNR.

Moreover, vaccination rate in Kardzhali district is high. The fourteen-day coronavirus morbidity is 244 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, 15 people diagnosed with Covid-19 have passed away over the past 14 days.
