Bulgaria reports 2,826 new cases of Covid-19, a positivity rate of 6%

2,826 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 46,388 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal indicate. 6% of the tests have returned positive result. 

There are 8,370 patients in hospital, including 732 in intensive care units. 359 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 89% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 65 people have died and 661 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours.

The highest number of new cases of Covid-19 has been reported in Sofia-685, followed by Varna-289, Burgas-242, Plovdiv-230.

6,749 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past day, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 2,960,810. The number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated is 1,562,833. 26,287 is the number of people with three vaccine doses.
