The Bulgarian short film Vi, directed by Deyan Tsvyatkov, won the outstanding film award at the Berlin Sci-Fi Filmfest. The festival was held on 5 and 6 November at the legendary Babylon Cinema. The award is given for the 5th consecutive year to the movie which merits all other prizes – for best director, script, acting and sound.
Vi by Bulgarian film director Deyan Tsvyatkov won the prize among 70 sci-fi movies from 27 countries in different categories. Vi is a computer system allowing people to work while they sleep. Victor, the man who created it, is fully devoted to it, until one day he meets Laura in an artificial nightmare.
“This is an award for the entire crew, who took the plunge into the retro-futuristic world of Vi. Thank you! I can’t wait to watch the film in Bulgaria on the big screen,” Deyan Tsvyatkov said.
