"The numbers in both types of elections show that in most cases people have exercised their right to vote for both president and parliament," Tomov added.

At 7 pm, turnout reached 36% in the presidential and vice-presidential elections, according to Gallup International Balkan, which is a partner of the Bulgarian National Radio on election day. In the parliamentary election, the turnout was 35.5 percent.

By 5 pm, voter turnout at the Parliamentary elections stood at 30.2%, data of Gallup International Balkan indicate. Meanwhile, voter turnout at the Presidential elections stood at 28.9%. According to Gallup International Balkan, voter turnout at the Parliamentary elections has almost reached that of the July 11 general elections.
