Bulgarians polar researchers in Antarctica also vote, yet unofficially

Scientists from the 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition will depart from Sofia in several days, Professor Hristo Pimpirev said for Nova TV. One of the purposes of the researchers is to make sleep studies and answer the question: Are we able to see our deceased relatives again in our dreams.

In Hristo Pimpirev’s words, some of his stays in Antarctica coincided with the elections in Bulgaria. “In such cases, we make an unofficial polling station and establish a commission which counts the election results. The summarized results of our unofficial elections in Antarctica always coincide with the real election results in Bulgaria, which is 13,000 kilometers away from the Bulgarian Antarctic base”, Professor Pimpirev said.
