Slight decline in the number of daily Covid-19 cases

828 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 14,204 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal indicate. 5.8% of the tests have returned positive result. 23 medics have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past day. 

293 patients have been admitted to hospital. 87.37% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. A total of 8,228 patients are being treated in hospital, as 752 of them are in intensive care units. 88 people have died and 1,353 have been reported cured in the past day.

The highest number of new cases of Covid-19 was reported in Sofia-223, followed by Varna-104, and Plovdiv-63.

4,874 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past day, bringing the total number of inoculations to 3,070,018. The number of people in this country who are now fully vaccinated is 1,623,014. 41,534 have had a vaccine booster dose.
