BNR’s Big Band presents music by Mihail Yosifov

On November 18, the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band gives another concert at Studio No 1 of the BNR. This time it is conducted by Mihail Yosifov, a brilliant trumpeter and composer. Mihail Yosifov participates in various jazz formations and lectures at the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov”. The concert programme consists of pieces authored by Mihail Yosifov, specially arranged for BNR's Big Band. Years ago, Misho Yosifov’s professional music career began at the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band. Veleka Tsankova is a soloist in the concert.

The pieces created for the young Bulgarian singer are part of Mihail Yosifov’s new projects. Veleka is a co-author of the music and the lyrics of some songs such as the summer music hit “Steps in the Sand”, etc. Veleka also wrote the lyrics to the piece “Voyage Around the World” which tells us how beautiful the world of love is.
