Rumen Radev and Andrzej Duda: EU can cope with migration crisis if united

The European Union can deal with the migration crisis only if it is united and works in solidarity. Such was the common position expressed by the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and President of Poland Andrzej Duda, who held a telephone conversation today at the initiative of the Polish head of state. The security environment in the European Union's neighboring regions, as well as migratory pressure along Europe's external borders in Eastern Europe, were the focus of the discussion.

The two presidents agreed that the long-term protection of Europe's external borders requires the EU's readiness to respond to emergencies in a timely manner, prevent security breaches and humanitarian crises.
