6.1% of daily Covid-19 tests return positive result

There have been 2,488 new Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria for a day. According to data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal, 6.1% of 40,630 tests returned positive result. 47 of the cases are among medical staff. The number of new hospitalized patients is 599, as 86.48% of them are non-vaccinated. With them, the total number of hospitalized patients has reached 6,606 as 779 of them are in intensive care. 105 people died in the past day and 2,443 patients recovered.

Most of the new cases are in Sofia - 618, followed by Plovdiv - 216 and Varna – 156.

21,842 people were vaccinated in the past day. With them the total number of vaccinated patients has reached 3,283,897. There are 1,749,169 people with completed vaccination cycle in this country and 84,785 people with three administered doses.
