5% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

1,218 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 25,020 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal indicate. 4.87% of the tests have returned positive result. 82.10% of the newly-registered cases of Covid-19 are among the unvaccinated. 

217 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 6,674 patients are being treated in hospital, as 783 of them are in intensive care units. 1,147 people have been reported cured in the past day. 47 patients have died in the past 24 hours, brining the total number of Covid-19 deaths to 28,043.

6,659 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Saturday. 1,752,595 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 86,501 people have had a booster dose.
