728 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 14,218 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal indicate. 5.1% of the tests have returned positive result. 82.8% of the newly-registered cases are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new Covid-19 cases was reported in Sofia-252, followed by Varna- 64 and Stara Zagora-47.
6,707 patients are being treated in hospital, as 756 of them are in intensive care units. 201 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 91% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.
58 people have died in the past day, bringing the total number of Covid-19 deaths to 28,101. 93.1% of all Covid-19 deaths are among the unvaccinated. 520 people have been reported cured in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases of Covid-19 amounts to 105,292.
4,642 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 3,295,198. 1,755,156 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 87,670 have had a booster dose.
