The European Commission has started 2 proceedings against Bulgaria in the Court of Justice of the EU. According to Brussels, Sofia is not properly implementing the exchange of criminal records and the 2009 EU Council decision establishing a single criminal information system. It allows electronic exchange of files between member states when moving from one country to another of criminals, said BNR correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova.

The European Commission is suing Bulgaria and 17 other countries for failing to implement EU rules on the regulation of professions and for not removing unnecessary national rules that make it difficult for qualified candidates to practice a wide range of professions.
