Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Significant precipitation and strong winds expected in Western and Central Bulgaria

Precipitation is in the weather forecast for most parts of Bulgaria on Tuesday. Moderate to strong northwesterly winds will bring cold air over the country. Snow is expected in the high fields of Western Bulgaria and the Pre-Balkans. The snow cover will reach 5 to 15 cm. Significant precipitation is expected in Southwestern Bulgaria. Daytime temperatures will drop. The maximum temperatures at 2.00 pm will fluctuate from 0°C to 14°C, for Sofia 2°C.

Clouds, fog and snow are expected in the mountains. Snowdrifts are in the forecast for the mountain passes. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 3°C, at 2,000 meters- minus 1°C.

On Wednesday snowfalls will continue. Rain will turn into snow in Northeastern Bulgaria.
